Manufacture of fire protective magnesite board in Ukraine Despite the common knowledge of the parameters of chemical magnesia reactions and the apparent simplicity of fire protective board production lines, a practical solution to a number of board production problems can only be the result of many years of trial and error of real production activities.

The know-how of MG Tech Ukraine is a totality of knowledge and experience of a scientific and production nature, obtained as a result of many years of work of engineers, chemists, technologists and managers. This is a set of answers to the problematic issues of materials science in the field of fire protection and practical production solutions that our specialists have found over more than 10 years of production activity.

Research results Our long-term scientific research includes:
- development of new compositions and recipes for fire protective board
- determination of optimal ratios of raw materials
- study of various production methods and technologies
- analysis and optimization of production process parameters
- study of the mechanical and thermal insulation properties of the board
- determination of board resistance to aggressive chemicals
- determination of the fire-resistant properties of the board and its behavior at high temperatures and in fire conditions
- studies of the microstructure of the board and its surface
- development of new types of fire protective boards with improved characteristics and specific properties for certain applications.

Laboratory results To improve the ratio of raw components of the boards we have been conducting laboratory experiments for many years for:
- Determining the influence of proportions on mechanical properties (compressive, bending and impact strength)
- Thermal conductivity studies
- Determining the influence of the board recipe on fire resistance
- Improvements in chemical resistance
- Study of hardening and curing processes
- Study of physical parameters (density, porosity, humidity, microstructure)

Component composition of MG Tech trade mark board is the result of many years of research into various raw material formulations of the board and combinations of its components, multivariate methods for manufacturing the slab and testing prototypes and industrial samples in various extreme operating conditions:


Raw material selection algorithm

Selection and examination of raw materials from suppliers are a critical element of production fire protective board. To ensure the specified characteristics of the fire protective proof board, MG Tech Ukraine conducted numerous studies of raw materials from Ukraine and many countries of the world. In addition to the chemical composition of raw materials, the concentration of basic elements and impurities, as well as other physical properties, we take into account the reputation of suppliers, the certification of raw materials and the ability to provide the specified parameters for many years.


Unique engineering project

The company has gone through a full cycle of engineering design of the production line fire protective board from concept design to detailed plans and equipment specifications:

  • Production parameters have been defined, such as production volume, dimensions and thickness of the slab, required characteristics material, production standards and norms.
  • Conceptual design completed. A general layout of the production line was developed, including the location of equipment, material flow, storage space and process control.
  • Equipment selected for each production step such as raw material mixing, board forming, drying, curing, etc.
  • Detailed technological processes are designed for each stage of production, taking into account the optimal parameters, sequence of operations and quality control.
  • Effective integration of all systems of equipment, automation, process control and production management has been made.
  • The safety and ergonomics of workplaces and production processes are taken into account, taking into account measures to prevent accidents and ensuring comfortable working conditions.
  • The line is designed with energy efficiency in mind, including energy optimization
  • Methods have been developed to collect and manage production waste, minimizing the negative impact on environment.
  • Detailed technical drawings, diagrams, specifications and operating instructions for equipment and processes have been made.
  • A test run of the line has been carried out and processes have been set up to achieve the required characteristics of the board.
  • Training of personnel who manage and maintain the production line has been conducted.
  • Production and commercial production of fire protective boards started.
